i reported this 3 weeks ago called the police they said they one investigate car still here this is our street its not a junk yard please fix thank you

Parking Enforcement Officer investigated this issue and found no vehicles in violation of city ordinance..

How is an out of state unregistered car with a ticket on it; not in violation of city ordinances? This does not make sense. How is an abandoned car not a parking violation? Who is the owner?

i wasnt going to comment but whats right is right how can this car not be in violation no ct plates on car out of state expired plates we pay taxes to keep our cars on the streets so what is the problem here why isnt this car towed away?

When I've had this problem on my street, I discreetly remove the plates from the offending vehicle, then call the police non-emergency number 203-946-6316 to report an abandoned vehicle with no plates. It's invariably removed withing a few hours...

It's a shame to have to resort to extremes to get the city to take action. Follow Chris' advice if that's what it takes to TOW THE CAR OFF THE STREET!!

Thank you for posting this issue. The Traffic Division has been notified.

On August 16th we dispatched an officer at 8:31pm to the location outlined in the original post. The officer reported that he was unable to find a vehicle matching this description and took photos of the location outlined which did not reflect the presence of this vehicle. We are again closing this issue. If this is still somehow a concern, please generate a new post verifying the location as well as the license plate number, temporary or otherwise, so we can follow up. Thank you.

It is an unregistered vehicle that does not move accept on street sweeping days. I do not see why this is so difficult to remedy. If the wowner was paying taxes and it was officially registered, i would have no complaints. But an illegal car parked on a city street that takes up space for my tenants, employees and customers is wrong.
